I was glad to have it spelled out that library 2.0 is a term used to describe application of new web 2.o technology in a library setting. Finally, a clear definition of library 2.0.What a relief that old copyright laws are legally being bypassed by new creative commons licences. Librarians no longer need one webmaster; all can contribute to the web page. Wikis are great to use as library subject guides, to annotate the catalog and for collaborative projects.
Ideal as community or convention guides, wikis are useful as public service announcements.

Thing 15 Perspectives on Web2.0, Library 2.0

It's my understanding that these terms can be used to describe the new technology that keeps people constantly in touch and connected . These technologies are based on concepts that emphasize constant change and reworking. Barriers to libraries staying connected with their customer could be focusing too much on the print collection, failing to teach new technology to library users and not making these services easily available.

A keyword search search had no surprises because there were so many tags. It was also no surprise that popular blogs were about making money online, learning breaking news and new developments in libraries.
